Schema Validation

View as Markdown

When you create a schema, you must ensure that the schema is a valid schema. The valid schema consists of a valid syntax, structure, reference types, description, and data.

You must check the following points to ensure that the schema is valid:

  • Structure: All basic attributes exist and comply with regular expression rules as specified in the schema document.
  • Description: Each element defined in the specification has a description field.
  • Referenced Types: Any referenced types actually exist. If the reference includes a version number, that version actually exist.
  • Schema implementation: The schema implements a valid base type with a valid version.
  • Object data: If the extension.data field is of type “object”, a valid JSON schema is provided to validate this object.
