This page demonstrates role-based conditional content using the <If> component.

Public Information

The Model Derivative API supports translating designs between over 70 CAD formats. All users can access the standard translation and metadata extraction endpoints documented in this guide.

Beta: Upcoming Translation Formats

The following formats are in beta and may change before general availability:

  • USDZ output from Revit (.rvt) sources
  • glTF 2.0 with Draco compression for web-optimized viewing
  • IFC 4.3 output with enhanced MEP support

To request access, contact your Autodesk account representative.

Draft: Planned Q4 Features

These features are planned but not yet confirmed for release:

  • Incremental translation support for large assemblies
  • Real-time translation progress via WebSocket
  • Client-side caching hints in derivative responses

Rate Limits

All API calls are subject to the standard APS rate limits. See the Rate Limits section for details on per-endpoint quotas.
